The optimal washing temperature for bleached fabrics depends on the type of bleach used.
The optimal temperature for chlorine and oxygen bleaching
Chlorine bleach: When using chlorine bleach, the optimal temperature range is 60-65 ℃. At this temperature, chlorine bleaching has the best effect and causes minimal damage to the fibers. If the temperature is too high (over 65 ℃), it May cause the fabric to turn yellow or the fastness to decrease.
Oxygen float: When using oxygen float, the optimal temperature range is 70-90 ℃. At this temperature, oxygen bleaching has the best effect and causes minimal damage to the fibers.
Other precautions during bleaching process
Bleach time: At the ideal bleaching temperature and ph value of the washing solution (ph 10.5), when the bleaching agent is added for one minute, the bleaching agent is basically uniformly dissolved in the washing solution. The release time of effective chlorine is about 6-8 minutes, and extending the bleaching time afterwards does not help with the effect.
Ph value of bleaching bath: When using chlorine bleaching, the optimal ph value is around 10.2-10.5. At this ph value, the bleaching rate is moderate and causes minimal damage to the fibers.
By controlling appropriate temperature and other parameters, the bleaching effect can be effectively improved and damage to the fabric can be reduced.
