Large jacquard: Large jacquard fabrics, also known as large pattern fabrics, are large-scale patterned fabrics woven on jacquard looms. The complete pattern organization of such fabrics can have as few as several hundred warp yarns and as many as several thousand. Large jacquard patterns are often based on one type of weave (the ground weave), with another or several different weaves used to create the pattern on top. For instance, a plain weave ground with a satin weave pattern. Sometimes, different colored warp and weft yarns can be used to create large, colorful patterns on the fabric. Different fiber types, yarn counts, and warp and weft densities can also be combined to produce various styles of jacquard fabrics. Large jacquard patterns include flowers, dragons and phoenixes, animals, landscapes, and figures. Across the entire width of the fabric, there can be single, double, quadruple, or more identical patterns. Woven on jacquard looms, the warp repeat can range from several hundred to over a thousand yarns. The patterns are large, exquisite, with distinct color gradations and a strong three-dimensional effect.

Small jacquard: Small jacquard weave is a type of weave structure for woven fabrics. It is often used in lightweight fabrics and has a dense, fine appearance with patterns that are not overly prominent. Small jacquard weaves are created using multi-arm looms, where two or more fabric weaves are alternated to form various small patterns on the fabric surface. For example, small patterns of the same or different colors can be placed on a plain or twill ground. Small patterns are characterized by concentrated weave points or floating yarns in the warp and weft. Pattern types include linear, striped, and scattered dot patterns. Small jacquard fabrics have a dense, fine appearance with patterns that are not overly prominent or exaggerated. They are often used in lightweight fabrics and their application is becoming increasingly widespread.
